Ethics Project

WITH THE WORKSHOPS OF THE CHEMIN NEUF COMMUNITY LATIN AMERICA AND AFRICA JOIN TOGETHER IN ONE GLOBALISED PROJECTÂ OF SOLIDARITY.
The Chemin Neuf community was created in 1973 from a prayer group in Lyon (France) and it is a catholic community with a vocation for ecumenism. It has more than 1200 memebers in 21 different countries: Europe, Africa, America and Middle East.
Its missions are focused on unity, on a continues work for building unity. The unity in the man himself, in the couples and in the society. In Italy, in the non-profit-making association “Missione Vita Onlus” (Mission for Life), many volunteers sharing the community values, give their time and work for local markets, Christmas presents… The income of such activities is completely handed over to the missions of the community operating in the poorest countries such as in Africa. Presently, schools and houses are being built in Ivory Coast, Congo, Burundi, Ciad and Burghina Faso. Our choice is to create an ethic net: through the cooperation with Missione Vita onlus we give a real help to the people of Africa.
We therefore import coffee from Central America with the fair trade, we process it in Europe with a completely ecologic method and we hand over part of the income to the missions of the Chemin Neuf community in Africa. A net is therefore woven from one side of the world to the other in an ethic project of globalised sharing.
